How it all started

• Original operations in Oceanport and Long Branch, New Jersey: 1964-1981

• 55 acre recycling facility opens in Tinton Falls, New Jersey: 1981-present

• Facility opens construction and demolition transfer station: 2001

• Mazza Recycling Services Ltd. acquires operations: June 2017

• Opened a state-of-the-art, award-winning Material Recovery Facility: 2020

• Opened the “Second Nature” bagging plant and launched our Mazza Mulch bags: 2023.

Philosophy

Today, Mazza Mulch operates a 55-acre facility that includes a building dedicated to bagging bulk forest products. Grinding and screening of organic materials are done at our location in Tinton Falls, NJ. In addition, Mazza Mulch owns a fleet of trucks used to deliver mulch, compost, topsoil, playground safety surfaces, and other materials directly to the customers’ sites, both in bulk and in bags.

Our products are composed of local materials. Our soils and mulches are native to New Jersey. These are products that thrive in our region. We work closely with developers, contractors, and homeowners to close the loop and re-use, rather than burn or bury, landscape materials. Because of our ability to make and deliver the highest quality products right from the source, it allows us to be very competitive with our pricing. We save you money and help do our part in saving the environment by recycling and reusing.
